Saturday 9 August (away) v. Hampton.
Down to only 12 due to holidays and illness, we travelled to Hampton looking to notch a double figure score line.
The squad on duty:- Kirk, Jonathon M, Jonathan N, Jeremy, Anton, Jason, James, Yanni, Jacob, Alex, Matthew and Josh.
Most of the play was in the Hampton half as we battled up the slope in the first half. With the offside rule causing the referee many headaches, we eventually went ahead through Alex’s chip which was seen over the line by Yanni’s head. A neat move down the left set up Jason to slot home his first goal of the season. Despite Josh hitting the woodwork twice, the score remained 2 – 0 at half-time. Our aim was to hit the back of the net more often in the second half.
This we did. Almost continuous pressure soon saw James add 4, Josh 2, Jason one more and Jonathon M his first goal too.
A 10 – 0 victory and a good team performance.
