U9s Match Report 16/06/07
DONCASTER ROVERS U9’s

‘Pressure tells in the middle’
Saturday 16 June (Away)
v. Richmond
Having spent the previous night watching the Mighty Hawks thrash the Blues, the coach was in a jubilant mood.
However, the news on Triple J was not good! Josh, Jeremy and Jonathon all missing, meaning a shuffling of positions and no substitutions to interchange.
We started and finished brightly. Alex seizing on a rebound from Jack’s shot to put us one up, whilst Jack scored his first for the club from Ari’s cross to pull the score back to 3 – 2.
Unfortunately, Richmond’s pressure and our failure to mark tightly told, and a disappointing 3 – 2 defeat was the result.
We missed our fight through the middle, but Peter, Lochie, Justin, James and Chris all battled hard, whilst Kirk continues to improve in goal.
A special mention to Ari, who worked his socks off all over the pitch.
Next week we face Doncaster Rovers B1s, 10am kick-off at Anderson Park. This is our home game, so help with goal posts will be needed. Thanks.
