SSG Launch this Saturday April 12th
The wait is nearly over for all of our Small Sided Games participants with our official launch this Saturday from 10am - 12 noon at our Anderson Park clubrooms - 117 Anderson Creek Road, East Doncaster (near the corner of Reynolds Road) map 34 D7
All U5 - U8 players are invited to attend the launch to hear about the 2008 program at Rovers and for those who have not yet registered we will be taking registrations.
We would encourage parents to download a registration form in advance from the club website: www.DoncasterRovers.org
Please note the launch is at 10am however games will be from 9am once the season commences at the end of April.

DRSC International Tours of Italy & Brazil 2008
An exciting new venture by the club is the launch of International tours for our U14 and U16 Boys.
ITALY TOUR
International 5 a side “Conosciamoci”Competition & Football Tour
JULY 2008
Doncaster Rovers 14 Boys
The Doncaster Rovers Under 14 Boys team will be travelling to Italy, in July, 2008, to both train and participate in the International 5 a side “Conosciamoci” Competition, to be held in a variety of locations in and around , Venice, Udine, Northern Italy, and Slovenia . The tour will include several friendly football matches against local football teams in Grado and a tournament in Coderno, followed by an international 5 aside football summer tournament that includes teams from around Europe.
The tour dates are scheduled between July 6 and July 20.
Cost of tour: $6,500.00
Expressions of interest must be submitted via e-mail, by no later than 21st of April. (name of travelling party & ages/relevant contact numbers to be included)
Price includes, airfare, visa, transfers, transportation, accommodation, tickets and fees to all matches, events and training/playing facilities and all meals. Kit consists of 2 playing kits, 2 sets of polo tops/walk shorts, 2 sets of training gear, 4 pairs of socks, a tracksuit and bag.
If we add the tour component to England we will need to consider the following.
Pick up and drop off at London airport , 5 nights accom in Norwich across the road from the ground with breakfast and 4 training sessions, 2 games and entry to pro games (although not on in july) is 300 pound each ...does not include lunch or dinner ...equates to around $ 666.00 Aussie dollars
We could bring back to 260 pound if they flew into Norwich airport......they have airlines connect to everywhere in europe...around $580.00.
This does not include transfers while in Norwich (they can walk to ground) or lunches and dinners.
This Academy is run by Norwich City FC (The Canaries, in the “Coca Cola First Division)at Carrow Road.

ATLETICO MINEIRO AND FUTSAL WORLD CUP
Doncaster Rovers U16 Boys
Doncaster Rovers Under 16 Boys team will be travelling to Brazil October 2008 to both train with ‘Serie A’ club Atletico Mineiro and see the Futsal World Cup. The tour to Brazil is divided into five areas. The tour dates are scheduled between the October 2 and October 23, 2008.
First, two days and nights at the GRAND CAMARY, Brazil Football Federation’s (CBF) training camp in the mountains above Rio de Janiero. Here you will experience and see the preparation the World Champions of Football receive. Vikings Futsal are the only foreign group ever allowed to use and stay at the facility.Second, high quality coaching at Serie A club ATLETICO MINEIRO in Belo Horizonte. Whilst here the team will stay at the Atletico Academy and be trained by Atletico’s top coaches. There will be games against Atletico and also local teams such as COLEGIO SANTO ANTONIO, COLEGIO MAGNUM, and CLUBE AMERICA.Third, two nights at the ancient city of DIAMANTINA, north of Belo Horizonte, where we will play some futebol games. DIAMANTINA is one of the oldest cities in Brazil and is high in the mountains to the north. Fourth, watching games at the Futsal World Cup including the final in Rio. Due to Vikings Futsal’s contacts we will be able to meet Brazilian players and some other nations friendly with Vikings depending on who qualifies. Fifth, two nights in Rio, staying in the famous Rio suburb of COPACABANA. The beach here is the most famous in the world. This will be our rest and recreation section of the tour and will include a visit to the MARACANA, the 180,000 seat soccer stadium that was built for the 1950 World Cup, CHRIST ON THE HILL, SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN and of course IPANEMA AND COPACABANA beaches.
The tour dates are scheduled between October 3 and October 22.
