Doncaster Rovers Soccer Club Announces
It's that time again when members must support our club, this time in two ways.
1. Attend our "Annual General Meeting" on Sunday 2nd December at 11.00am at our home Anderson Park (see web link
Notice of AGM Agenda 2007V2)
2. Register for another great year in 2008 (see web link
DRSC Registration Form 2008 and
Registration 2008 V2for registration dates).
This year our club has taken a number of steps we hope will bring success not only on but off the field.
· Appointment of "Director of Junior Coaching"
Milton Sakkos · The introduction of "summer soccer under the stars" · Access to "Futsal" all year round. · Player assessment day in 2008 where all players (U10 to U18) will be assessed to assist in good coaching. · Replacement of the small training pitch with artificial turf, lighting and fencing. · Introduction of a fully refundable canteen levy (refundable on assisting in the canteen for 3 hours during the season).
This year we have raised our fees (these have not changed for the last three years), this change has been brought about for a number reasons including:
· 400% increase in rent · Increased FFV costs · New FFA costs · Drought associated costs
To ensure the success of our club your "Committee of Management" and "Junior Sub-Committee" have set fees for 2008 as follows:
Family membership - sub junior (U8 to U10) $395 (GST Inc) per player Family membership - Junior Player (U11 to U18) $495 (GST Inc) per player
Refundable canteen levy (applies once per family) $ 40 (GST Inc)
To assist families to meet the new fees the club will this year accept payment by credit card in two equal payments, 50% on registration and a further drawdown of 50% on 18th March 2008 (cash and cheque payments must be made in full at time of registration).
This year players will receive their playing apparel, ball and club winter top as a part of their registration cost prior to season commencement in April 2008.
Your committee has also been busy with our long term vision meeting with the minister for sport & recreation James Merlino. At this meeting we put forward our plan for two (2) floodlit, artificial pitches along the Reynolds Road Boundary which was received with great enthusiasm; your committee intends to follow through with this plan until DRSC is the best football club not only in Manningham but Victoria.
Yours in football
