Saturday 2 August (home) v. Nunawading.
After the 8 – 0 away win earlier this season, we were out to top our total.
A full squad on duty:- Kirk, Matt, Jonathon M, Jonathan N, Lachie, Jeremy, Anton, Jason, James, Jonathon S, Yanni, Jacob, Alex, Matthew, Ari and Josh.
We started brightly and applied plenty of pressure. We were soon on the board with Jonathon S bagging two well taken goals. With good contributions all over the ground, Josh and Alex added one each to take the lead to 4 by half-time.
Most of the action from Nunawading came at half-time. Our cameraman had to change his focus to the other side of the pitch and the coach was asked to join him rather than having the peace and quiet away from the vocal supporters on the far side.
Undisturbed, we banged in 5 and should have had more. The final result a 9 – 0 win. Alex grabbed 4, Josh 2, Jonathon S 2 and James 1. Just like Buddy’s quest for 10 in a game, we also just fell short of double figures. Perhaps we should play Collingwood too!!
