Eastlink makes life so much easier

Saturday 26 July (away) v. Casey Comets.

New the Eastlink and a later kick-off at 10am, eased the trip down to Cranbourne as we put our week’s rest to the test, aiming to finish the season strongly with 6 wins.
Minus 3 of our squad, we started brightly, finally putting in to practice what we have learnt this season.
We moved the ball around well, used the wings, looked strong in defence and capitalized on our pressure. By half-time we had grabbed 3, Yanni 2 and Alex 1.
However, we started the second half like we had eaten a 3-course meal at half-time rather than the vast supply of oranges. On more than 1 occasion, Casey ran straight through us, fortunately only getting 1 back.
We managed to regain our composure with the midfield of Lachie, James, Jonathon and Matthew providing the opportunities for Yanni, Alex and Josh to round off a 6 – 1 victory.
It was great to see us respond and the flexibility we again showed at the back, changing positions to accommodate our interchanges. Kirk, Jeremy, Jacob, Jason, Jonathon M and Jonathan N all kept Casey out as they came in to the game in the second half.

A much better performance, well done boys. We look forward to the DVD of the game courtesy of Greg.

Training on Wednesday, 6pm at Donvale Reserve.

Next week, home v Nunawading, 12.00am kick-off at Anderson Park.
