Clear blue skies but a cold day up in the mountains.
A draw against Sherbrooke Rangers where the boys were unlucky not to convert a number of opportunities.
The game started positively with a well constructed play finishing with Aaron scoring a goal in the fourth minute. Good to see some reward for Aaron’s consistent midfield work over the season in defence and feeding the team’s strikers.
The game then locked down as Sherbrooke Rangers displayed determination and high work rate to fend off a number of spirited attacks. Sherbrooke equalised in the 18th minute and the teams went to half time with a goal each.
In the second half, Sherbrooke attempted to use local knowledge and long kicks with the downhill slope to break through the boy’s defence which held consistently keeping Sherbrooke from scoring another goal. Unfortunately Sherbrooke’s defence was also successful in fending off our boys striking up the right flank leaving the final score at 1 goal each.
