"As you probably already know, I spent January in the Dominican Republic doing community development work in a very poor country town in the mountains. Before I left, Rovers donated some footballs for me to take for donation to the kids. The balls were very well received and I would like to pass on my thanks on their behalf. My work was mostly construction of a community centre but I also spent a few days at a children's project and we handed out the balls to some of the kids. I have attached photos of some of the boys with the balls, just to give you an insight on how much they appreciated the gift. If you could please pass on my thanks to the commitee for this donation and also the oppurtunity they gave me to set up a stall on club photo day when I was raising funds.This was an amazing experience and one I was very fortunate to have done.
