Great Family Day

CALLING ALL MEMBERS
21st April 2007
Rovers Family Day!
Come and enjoy the facilities of your club!

Come and meet the 4 Melbourne Victory players in attendance!

Dear Member

We would like you and your family to attend Anderson Park on the 21st April for a family fun filled day.

We will be having more family type functions at the club this year with a focus on the kids and their parents having fun. It's also a good way for us to raise money through fundraising so we can deliver more and more for our kids.

This year the children will each receive Free the following:
Socks and shorts
Keep their playing jumper at the end of the year
Training shorts and strip
Tracksuit top and bottom
Hat
Ball to keep at the end of the year

This was achieved by cost savings at C.O.M level and sponsorship monies. We plan to be the best club in Australia and 2007 is the start of something special. So lets kick it off with a great Family/Open Day!
DAYS AGENDA
Day to kick off from 9am with teams required to attend at the following times:

9am - U17 & U18
10am - U15 & U16
11am - GC & U10
Noon - U8 & U9
1pm - U11 & U12
2pm - U13 & U14

· Players are to report to the clubrooms to have registration/financial status verified.

· They will be given an FFA Registration form to complete and are required to produce a birth certificate extract or a photocopy of a passport and a PASSPORT size photo (not Goal Kick)

· Once completed, the FFA forms are then exchanged for socks and shorts, raffle tickets for a signed Melbourne Victory jersey, & Anzac biscuits fundraiser.

Throughout the day on-ground activities will include street-soccer games and football skills based activities.

A bbq & spit will be operating throughout the day with bacon, eggs, sausages & souvlaki available.

4 Melbourne Victory players will be in attendance on this day.

We have also been given a MVFC strip signed by the whole squad to be used for our fundraiser raffle. (Thanks to a clubman)

Gear Swap - we would like to instigate an annual gear swap where old boots, shin guards (in good and hygienic condition) etc can be donated to the club and then purchased by players for a nominal fee with proceeds going to a local charity. If you would like to clear out any old gear then please bring it down to the clubrooms early in the day.

IMPORTANT REQUEST - we are expecting upwards of 900 people throughout the course of the day and require 3 or 4 parent helpers FROM EACH TEAM to assist during the hour when their child is scheduled to attend. Please see your team manager or age group coordinator to flag your interest.

If we all contribute that little bit then all our kids benefit but 5,7,10 parents can't do it all. It's impossible!

Please email dsoccerclub@gmail.com to proactively volunteer for duties for the day. (45-60 minutes will suffice or less if we get enough helpers).

We will keep doing and organising things for the kids based on the help we get from parents volunteering to do their their little bit.

This day was organised for you by the Doncaster Rovers Junior Committee and volunteers.

Cheers
